Eric trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School from 1984 – ’87 and has appeared at most of the country’s top repertory theatres and touring venues.

Favourite theatre credits include; OLIVER at the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury, (with Ron Moody as Fagin.) and more recently at the Central Theatre in Chatham, THE GOOD COMPANIONS, (New Wolsey Theatre, Ipswich) HAPPY END, (Clwyd Theatre, Cymru & Welsh tour.) ABSENT FRIENDS, (Opera House, Jersey) Reg in all 3 of Ayckbourne’s NORMAN CONQUESTS, (Grand Theatre, Swansea & Civic, Darlington) LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, THE CRUCIBLE, THE SOUND OF MUSIC & OLIVER, (Lyric Theatre Belfast) CABARET and GOOD, (Gateway Theatre, Chester) YOUNG APOLLO, (Leatherhead) THE SLAB BOYS, (Royal Lyceum, Edinburgh & Scottish tour) GODSPELL, (Buxton Opera House) ANDROCLES & THE LION, (Bristol Old Vic) THE STEAMIE, (Nottingham Playhouse) TWELFTH NIGHT, SWEET BROKEN HEART & ANANSI THE SPIDERMAN, (London Bubble Theatre Co.) and 26 different productions at the Coliseum Theatre in Oldham including; BRASSED OFF, LAUREL & HARDY, THE INVISIBLE MAN, APRIL IN PARIS, LOVE’S A LUXURY & THE CANTERBURY TALES.

TV work includes MY SPY FAMILY (Cartoon Network) DEAR GREEN PLACE, DOCTOR WHO, BURN IT, LAST OF THE SUMMER WINE, STILL GAME & NODDY LIVE (BBC)  THE ROYAL, HEARTBEAT, WILMOT, THE ROYAL TODAY & STEEL RIVER BLUES (Yorkshire TV)  CHRISTMAS LIGHTS, SPRINGHILL & THE SMITHS (Granada TV) SQUARE DEAL (LWT) PEAK PRACTICE (Central) BROOKSIDE (Mersey TV) CHASING RAINBOWS (Channel 4) GET A GRIP (Phil McIntyre TV for ITV).  Eric is probably best known for his portrayal of baker, Diggory Compton in CORONATION ST.  Film appearnaces include "JULIA'S BANJO" for Pulse Productions as well as "THE JEALOUS GOD" and "BETWEEN TWO WOMEN" both for North Country Pictures.

 

 

A much in demand pantomime dame, Eric has spent the last 14 festive seasons appearing in Woking, Oldham, Nottingham, Crewe, Canterbury, Stoke, Glasgow or Milton Keynes, regularly taking on the additional roles of writer & director.

 

 Eric is also an accomplished script writer having worked on numerous corporate projects for companies such as Ernst & Young, Bombardier Aircraft, Luminar Leisure, Allied Irish Bank and BAFTA.  Eric is also a prolific writer of pantomime scripts with his work being performed in venues such as the Coliseum Theatre, Oldham; Opera House, Manchester; Wimbledon Theatre; Churchill Theatre, Bromley; Regent Theatre, Stoke and the New Victoria Theatre, Woking. He is currently working on several television projects including a new sitcom and pantomime scripts for eleven venues across the country.
